Victoria Beckham is all of us as David shares tongue-in-cheek photo of her ‘enjoying’ his interest

Let’s face it, we’ve all been there, trying to show interest in our partner’s hobby when we really couldn’t be less interested. But the main thing is, we try, or so David Beckham seems to think as he shared a tongue-in-cheek post poking fun at wife Victoria Beckham and her ‘interest’ in his favourite subject – football.
In his latest post, David Beckham shared a snap from a football match showing him and wife Victoria on the sidelines. From David’s reaction it’s clear there’s been plenty of action on the pitch but, hilariously, Victoria doesn’t quite seem to be sharing the same level of enthusiasm as she stands by his side. In the snap, Victoria watches on with her trademark pokerface, looking chic as ever in an all-black ensemble. Next to her, David can be seen yelling, throwing his fist forward in a dramatic action pose.
“And they say my wife’s not into football 😂, How dare they 😂,” David captioned the image, poking fun at Victoria by adding, “Emotions were running high in the stadium last night for most of us.”
Making clear the banter was all in good nature, David also wrote a sweet message addressing Victoria directly saying, “I love you @victoriabeckham I know you love it really 🩷 always by my side.”
Of course, in the early 2000s, Victoria was a stalwart of the football sidelines and was dubbed ‘Queen WAG’ (Wife And Girlfriends) in an iconic era of noughties culture. During the period, David and Victoria were also famous for a variety of memorable hairstyles and outfits, both on and off the pitch.
Below, Victoria can be seen alongside the Cheryl Tweedy another celebrated member of the footballer’s wife gang from the period, as they supported their partners at the 2006 World Cup. Victoria and Cheryl sport co-ordinating looks, both with vest tops and wearing a patriotic combination of red, white and blue. Iconic.
These days, David is off the pitch but is still very much a fixture of the sidelines since becoming one of the owners of football club Inter Miami FC, even signing legendary player Lionel Messi. While it’s clear football is still very much David’s key hobby and interest, it looks like Victoria might prefer her own pursuits elsewhere. However, she still showed up to support her husband, so what more could anyone really ask?
