Nelly Korda’s Anticipated Return to the LPGA Tour: Balancing Breaks with Fitness and Competition

After an exceptional 2024 season that saw her secure seven victories on the LPGA Tour, Nelly Korda, the world’s top-ranked golfer, started 2025 on a high note. Her strong performances at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she finished tied for second, and the Founders Cup, where she ended at seventh place, underlined her golfing prowess. However, after these two tournaments, Korda decided to step away from the game for a brief period, a move she replicated from the previous year when she skipped the first few Asia-based events.

During a press conference at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, Korda was candid about her plans for the 2025 season. She revealed her intention to take a short break before returning to participate in the Seminole Pro-Member event. “I plan to take about a week or week and a half off, but I’m excited about playing the Seminole Pro-Member. I don’t want to be too rusty for my partner there,” she stated.

The Seminole Pro-Member is a prestigious event in the golf calendar, taking place annually on the Monday following the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing. Known for its exclusivity and charitable initiatives, the tournament attracts top Tour professionals, along with high-profile figures such as celebrities, power brokers, and CEOs. After the Pro-Member event, Korda is set to take part in the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass, slated to kick off on March 27th.
