The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard “writing songs” with Cruz Beckham: “He said, ‘Jesus was a nepo baby too’”
Cruz Beckham is turning his sights to a music career and has enlisted help from The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard.
The singer is friends with Cruz – who is the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham – and is helping him out when it comes to songwriting.
Pritchard shared the news in a new interview with The Sun as part of the Bizarre column, and said that the two of them have a lot of common ground when it comes to their taste in music, and are working together to find his sound.
“He has really good taste in music,” he told the outlet. “We chat about early Bee Gees – there aren’t many people I can do that with. We started writing songs together and we’ve become mates. I’d just love to help him navigate [a career in music].”
Pritchard then went on to explain that Cruz is already aware of the obstacles he may have to face with having famous parents and has a lighthearted outlook on the “nepo baby” tag.
“He’s naturally going to come under criticism because of who his parents are. He’s aware of that. It was great when he said ‘Jesus was a nepo baby too.’ I thought that was quite a funny response.”
