This development follows the disappointing news that her and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, did not receive any Emmy nominations, despite the remarkable achievement of attracting over 81.6 million viewing hours within just four days of its release.
In addition to this setback, Meghan’s recent podcast, titled Confessions of a Female Founder, has come under fire from critics, who have voiced their concerns in reviews. Furthermore, her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, has also experienced a lukewarm reception, with audiences responding negatively to its content. As a result of these challenges in the entertainment industry, the Sussexes are reported to be seeking out support from close friends, particularly talk show legend Ellen DeGeneres.
Ellen quietly moved to the Cotswolds last year with her wife and Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi following. Donald Trump’s election win, while Meghan used to lease a home in the quaint English countryside with her husband, Prince Harry, before their 2018 wedding.
According to Radar Online, Meghan has been keeping track of those who’ve criticised or failed to support them in what’s being dubbed a “burn book” — a move to identify detractors quietly influencing their Hollywood standing; she is now leaning on allies like Ellen to help uncover the source of the negativity and rebuild their image in the entertainment world.
One such figure who Meghan has firmly distanced herself from, is none other than Victoria Beckham. It is believed their fallout occurred after Meghan suspected Victoria of leaking information to the press regarding her personal life.
The pair’s friendship ending likely “boils down to jealousy,” royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital. She shared: “Ultimately, I believe it was envy that caused the fallout. We certainly have examples of Meghan accusing Victoria of leaking stories to the press when it was actually a salon receptionist with a pair of loose lips. Still, I think it all boils down to jealousy today.”
Meghan was also said to be “furious” over Victoria’s announcement of an upcoming Netflixdocumentary series that will focus on her family life and business endeavours.
